Your photos never leave your device

WitIDPhoto processes all photos entirely on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks (Vision, Core Image). No photos, images, or personal data are ever uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.

Data we collect

We collect no personal data. WitIDPhoto does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Photos or images
  • Name, email, or contact information
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or usage analytics
  • Crash reports or diagnostic data

Permissions we request

  • Photo Library — to select photos for ID photo creation and save results to your library
  • Camera — to take a photo directly within the app

These permissions are used solely within the app and only when you initiate an action. You may revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Third-party services

WitIDPhoto uses no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services. There are no ads in this app. All processing uses Apple's built-in frameworks only.

History feature & local storage

Processed photos saved via the History feature are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is private to you and is never synced to any external server. You can delete history items at any time within the app.

How to Use

WitIDPhoto creates standard ID photos for passports, visas, driver's licenses, and more — with automatic background removal, all processed on your device.

Choose a photo size

Select the document type and country (Thai, Asia, Europe, Americas, or Medical). The app shows the exact dimensions and crop ratio.

Select or take a photo

Tap Library to choose from your photos, or Camera to take one now. The app automatically opens the crop screen.

Crop your photo

Pinch to zoom and drag to move your photo. Align your face inside the yellow oval guide. The crop frame is locked to the correct ratio. Tap Done when ready.

Choose a background color

Select White, Blue, or Gray — or pick a custom color. Blue is standard for Thai passport photos.

Check face & process

Tap Check Face to verify face position, centering, and lighting before processing. Then tap Process to automatically remove the background and resize to the exact ID photo dimensions.

Save or export

Save PNG saves a full-quality image to your Photos. Export e-Visa JPEG creates a compressed file under 240 KB — the standard maximum for most online visa applications.

Print layout

Tap Open Print Layout to arrange multiple copies on a sheet. Choose paper size (4×6", 5×7", A4, A5). The app fills the sheet with the optimal number of photos and adds crop marks so you can cut them out precisely.

Tips

  • Use good lighting — face the light source, avoid strong shadows or backlighting
  • Keep a neutral expression with mouth closed for official documents
  • Use a plain background when shooting — the AI background removal works best with clear contrast
  • Select the photo size before cropping so the frame ratio is correct from the start
  • Use Check Face before processing to catch issues early
  • The History tab saves all processed photos for easy reprinting

  • Thai — 1 inch, 2 inch / Passport, ID Card, Driver License, Civil Servant
  • Asia — Japan, Korea, China, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia
  • Europe — Schengen Visa, UK, EU Driving License, Germany, France
  • Americas — US Passport / Visa, Canada
  • Medical — Staff ID, Hospital Badge, Medical License
